There are different ways to save an animal, in this case we will talk about the adoption of domestic animals such as dogs and cats.
You can help these animals by rescuing them from the street, or adopting them from an animal shelter, but there are some points that you must meet in order to do so, such as:
Before making the decision, it is recommended to analyze the economic and psychological situation of the person who wishes to adopt the animal. Since, they need stability in all possible aspects in order to have a decent life. That is, if the individual does not have enough money to meet and satisfy the basic needs of the animal, it is better to abstain.
If you want to adopt from an animal shelter, the person must be 21 years old. In case a person is 18 years old, they can adopt by looking for a co-adopter who is 21 years of age or older.
You must also have legal identification documents and prove the residence address that you currently live in.
On the other hand, sometimes shelters have the power to deny an adoption for whatever reason they consider; either due to irresponsibility, bad character or that the conditions of the home are not suitable for the canine or feline.
Therefore, the one who wishes to adopt must sign a commitment document that is protected to comply with food, veterinary care and an optimal space to live.
And something very important, it is NOT allowed to generate hatchlings as sales. Likewise, most dogs and cats are sterilized before delivery.
In addition, to begin to form a close bond, it is recommended that the dog or cat spend the necessary time with its new adopter, and thus, the person will be able to determine whether or not they like the animal's personality.
Normally these animal adoption centers charge a small fee for the adoption process, which ranges from $20 to $30 depending on the location.
But when you adopt an animal, and give it a new chance to have a home, these dogs and cats do many things to thank you daily with gestures, behaviors, and lots of love.
